حدثنا مسدد، حدثنا إسماعيل، عن أيوب، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما، قال: «صام النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عاشوراء، وأمر بصيامه فلما فرض رمضان ترك»، وكان عبد الله لا يصومه إلا أن يوافق صومه
